Evenfall is Jem Perucchini's first institutional solo exhibition. Presenting twelve paintings and a ceramic installation, the exhibition explores the theme of twilight, investigating dichotomies such as visible and invisible, spiritual and earthly. Inspired by art-historical sources ranging from late Italian Gothic to Ethiopian frescoes, Evenfall's paintings allude to classical figures such as Elagabalus and Thanatos, offering a new interpretation of history. Perucchini transforms the Western canon into a mystery to be rediscovered, inviting the viewer to reflect on narrative and memory.
