After the triumphal appearance with Myung-Whun Chung in 2025, the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia returns to inaugurate the new year of Lingotto Musica led by the Austrian conductor Manfred Honeck.
Former viola with the Wiener Philharmoniker and Claudio Abbado’s assistant, Honeck shares the stage with the Macedonian pianist Simon Trpčeski, internationally appreciated for his impeccable technique and also the commitment to the cultural image of his country.
A double debut at Lingotto Auditorium reflecting the great European Romantic repertoire: Oberon’s Overture, with his fantastical and legendary style upon which Weber founded the new national tradition of German opera; Tchaikovsky’s First Piano Concerto, keystone in the Russian composer's poetic world; Dvořák’s Eight Symphony, brightly inspired by Bohemian folklore.
