We will meet at 7.30pm for the Interplay aperitif.
• Virgilio Sieni - Sleep in the car, a reflection on the contemporary condition, where the car is both a symbol of freedom and constraint. On the one hand, it is a mobile refuge, a place where sleep can be experienced as an escape from home and the confusion of everyday life, a way to rediscover solitude or the company of travel. On the other hand, however, there is the reality of those who no longer have a home or have never had one, forced to live and sleep in their cars as their only alternative, a condition that affects more and more people in situations of poverty or economic crisis
• Danseincolore - Congo, Ka boye, the performers' decisive entrance is announced by the cry “Congo kaka boye” (This is Congo). The choreographic work by Gervais Tomadiatunga opens explosively, transforming the wounds and traumas of his childhood into creativity, resilience and hope. Drawing on his experience as a former child soldier and coltan miner, Gervais brings to life characters who embody the struggles and victories of Congolese youth in the face of socio-economic and environmental challenges.
• Maia Joseph - The Other, people all over the world are struggling to make their voices heard. As the audience enters, Maia is on the floor, in the centre of the stage, already immersed in an inner struggle. The isolated movements of her chest mimic the gesture of someone struggling to breathe. The shadows on the wall surround her, personifying the voices of others in her mind, silencing her. Shouting to be heard is counterproductive.
At the end of the performances, there will be the photo exhibition Views of the Earth, and the Interplay final party with live music by Groovy Soup Collective.
