The Vuelta a España 2025 starts from Piedmont with the ‘Salida Oficial’, the only time in Italy in 90 years for the historic Spanish race.
The first stage of the “Salida Oficial” of the Vuelta 2025, 189 km long, will start on Saturday 23 August from the Palace of Venaria Reale. The route will cross some of the most evocative areas of Piedmont: Turin, the Eporediese, Biella, the Vercellese area and then enter the province of Novara until reaching the shores of Lake Maggiore and ending in the city of San Gaudenzio.
On 24 August, the second stage, 160 km long, will start from Alba and cross the gentle hills of the Roero and Cuneo, ending with the climb to Limone Piemonte, at an altitude of 1,881 metres.
The third stage on 25 August will start from San Maurizio Canavese to arrive in Ceres. It is 135 km with some ups and downs, a Gran Premio della Montagna at Castelnuovo Nigra and a passage through the Valli di Lanzo.
The fourth and final stage, of 207 km, will accompany the race beyond the Alps and will propose other mountains, tackling Montgenèvre first, in a route that combines the beauty of Piedmont with the charm of French landscapes. On 26 August, in fact, it will start from Susa and cross Exilles, Cesana and Claviere.
