The ancient Carnival of Mentoulles, handed down through oral tradition, is coming back to life after many years of hiatus. In February, the bear of Monte Orsiera descends into the valley, wreaking havoc in the villages: the Spadonari del Bal da Sabre, with their propitiatory ritual, will kick off the hunt with music, dancing and conviviality.
