This year marks the 300th anniversary of the birth of Andrea Luigi Serassi, one of Europe's leading organ builders of the 18th century, author of the precious Tavagnasco organ, recently restored to its original splendour after extensive restoration work.
A high-profile programme of initiatives has been set up to worthily celebrate this important anniversary.
In spite of an estimated production of around 200 organs, the instruments built by Andrea Luigi preserved in good condition are limited to only a few dozen examples: among these, the most significant and best preserved is precisely the one in Tavagnasco.
