Occitan music with Chat Berton: the name of the group refers to the legend of Gatto Berton, lost on the mountain of the same name, Chaberton. This mountain, which marks the border between France and Italy, has been at the centre of the epic of the Escartons for centuries and symbolises the link between the Occitan populations on either side of the Alpine watershed.
The group aims to promote the heritage of traditional music and dance of the Occitan territories: Luca Martin Poetto on hurdy-gurdy, vocals, galoubet and tonton, Giorgio Ferraris on bagpipes, flutes and vocals.
