The Fondazione Istituto delle Rosine - a historic institution of Torino with over 270 years’ experience in welcoming and supporting women and families - presents the first edition of the Festival of Birth and Rebirth, an event dedicated to expectant and new families, as well as to anyone who feels a desire for transformation and renewal.
The project stems from the convergence of art, culture and knowledge of birth, with the aim of restoring the human, symbolic and collective dimensions to this fundamental moment in life.
The Festival is structured as a journey that weaves together reflection and experience. The programme explores the various dimensions of birth: the morning will be dedicated to social and cultural aspects, whilst the afternoon will open up to a more experiential dimension with activities designed to welcome children, families and those simply curious.
The Festival’s guide and mentor will be community midwife, author and international lecturer Verena Schmid, supported by midwives, doulas and birth professionals, in dialogue with artists from various creative disciplines.
There will also be a dedicated children’s area, a refreshment area and a market featuring selected craft producers, all in dialogue with the world of birth and early childhood.
Booking is required to take part in the Circles (experiential workshops).
