Hike in the Gran Bosco di Salbertrand

Setting off from the village of Salbertrand, you immediately enter a dense forest of larch, fir and Swiss stone pine trees, where the scent of the woods accompanies your every step. The route winds through ancient mule tracks and sun-drenched clearings, offering picturesque views of the valley and the surrounding mountains. It is not uncommon to come across traces of red deer or roe deer, the silent inhabitants of this vast protected forest.

Departure: Salbertrand (TO)

Difficulty: E – elevation gain: approx. 880 m – distance: approx. 10.5 km (return)

Meeting point: 9.30 am in Salbertrand, station car park (those who wish to do so may travel to the meeting point by train)

Return to the cars: around 4 pm

 

What to bring: layers of clothing (T-shirt, fleece, jacket, long trousers), a hat and light gloves, a packed lunch and energy snacks, a water bottle holding at least 0.75 litres, sunglasses and sun cream
