The title I Musicali Concenti, inspired by a 1623 collection by Filippo Albini di Moncalieri, musician at the court of the Savoy, evokes the harmonious intertwining of the different components that will guide the project-programme of the new musical season, whose programming is inspired by a series of very significant anniversaries:
• 30 years of Coro Maghini, established as a Philharmonic Choir in June 1995 on the occasion of a production by the RAI National Symphony Orchestra
• 20 years of Accademia Musicale R. Maghini, founded alongside the choir in 2005 for educational and cultural promotion purposes
• 10 years of the Back TO Bach festival, created in 2015 with the aim of offering a calendar of themed events focused on the music of J. S. Bach in the region
A real novelty and turning point that will also guide the programming of the coming years is the strong presence of young people: a resident group, the Ensemble Instrumentum Vocale, and a host of new musicians selected through the Ricomincio da Trenta competition, dedicated to young people born after 1995. Their creativity has given rise to highly interesting concert projects that break the mould and will take shape in this series of concerts.
