The workshop offers a practical, embodied exploration of the themes of labour, materials and ecological relationships in contemporary design.

Through guided explorations of movement, somatic exercises, collective choreographic sequences and sensory observations in the field, participants analyse everyday gestures, production processes and the use of resources. The body becomes a tool for understanding how materials and infrastructure are extracted, transformed and experienced, challenging the mechanisms of alienation that separate people, the environment and work.

By linking theory and practice, the workshop invites participants to rethink design not as an isolated act of problem-solving, but as an embodied practice of responsibility, care and coexistence within shared material worlds.

The programme concludes with collective performative actions that translate bodily insights into critical questions and possibilities for social and ecological transformation.

Vivien Tauchmann is an independent designer, movement artist, lecturer and researcher who explores socio-political relationships through embodied approaches. Working at the intersection of relational design, performing arts and somatic pedagogies, her practice aims to engage with human-made infrastructures and subvert the processes that generate dynamics of power and injustice.

To participate, an annual membership card for the Circolo del Design is required, at a cost of €10.00.
