The text describes a play that mixes elements of Shakespeare (Hamlet), Spirito Allegro, Pirandello and Agatha Christie in a game of Chinese boxes between reality and fiction.
The plot begins when the ghost of the protagonist of a theatre tour, found dead a year earlier (a case filed as suicide), reappears to her ex-husband, a playwright. The woman reveals that she was murdered by a colleague and convinces him to use a stratagem inspired by Hamlet's “play” to unmask the murderer.
All the actors present at the final party are summoned to read a script that recalls the events of that evening. The “rehearsal” generates paradoxical and amusing situations, highlighting the fragility of the acting profession, culminating in a crescendo of twists and turns until the climactic finale.
By David Tristram, starring Mariagrazia Cucinotta, Pino Quartullo and Roberta Petrozzi.
