A day exploring the laboratories of the CNR – National Research Council.
In the morning, a scientific adventure for children attending summer camps, featuring experiments and discoveries led by scientists from the five research institutes; in the afternoon, visitors can explore science through laboratories, the environment and art!
Visits to the laboratories and discussions with researchers will guide visitors through microscopes, biodiversity, innovative materials, environmental risks and changes to the local landscape. The tour will also cover topics such as the challenges posed by an ageing population, nature-inspired solutions to promote wellbeing and sustainability, and the latest discoveries in the field of bioelectromagnetism – a discipline that studies the role of electric and magnetic fields in biological processes.
Rounding off the programme is an exhibition of paintings that explores the connection between art and the plant world through works created using watercolours, pencils and acrylics: botanical illustrations, landscapes and details inspired by nature, inviting visitors to discover the beauty and biodiversity of plants.
