The musical dialogue blossoms from Hildegard of Bingen's Praise of Creation to the licentiousness of the jesters and the poetic contrasts of Cielo d'Alcamo. The journey takes us through flowerbeds of Sephardic songs, Gaelic Scottish ballads and the famous Cantigas de Santa Maria.
Along paths of ancient songs, where the plant world is symbol, medicine and magic, we arrive at modern sounds that draw on tradition to sing of the immutability of human experience.
