Presentation of Mariangela Pinnavaia's book
After the coup d'état of 24 March 1976 in Argentina, the Military Junta eliminated civil rights and persecuted opponents. On a dramatic night, they raided the home of Raul, a trade unionist who had been under surveillance for some time, and his wife Mariana, a teacher fascinated by the theories of the Latin American Fighting Church. Violeta was kidnapped and tortured for two years in various secret prisons, experiencing the brutality of the dictatorship, while a doubting soldier offered a glimmer of hope for humanity.
