The temporary exhibition *Vitæ. The Feeling of Nature*, which forms part of the tour of the Ducal Castle of Agliè and its gardens, is complemented by a programme of accompanying activities designed to deepen and fully enhance the visitor experience. The exhibition features the works of Jessica R. Carroll, an artist who has always viewed nature as a unique lens through which to explore social dynamics and the relationships between individuals of the same species.
Here are the events linked to the exhibition in June.
• Sunday 7, 3.00 pm: Naturalist for a day. The feeling of Nature… with those who observe and protect it. A themed tour and activities organised by LIPU Turin, a journey through Jessica Carroll’s works, blending imagination with observation of nature’s dynamics. Followed by an exploration of the Castle Gardens led by LIPU, focusing on the small forms of life that inhabit them.
• Sunday 14, 11.00–18.00: Non-verbal conversations. The feeling of Nature… with those who dance it. Contemporary dance and workshop organised by Elena Cattardico: an immersive journey through dance and Jessica Carroll’s sculptures, with site-specific performances by Gilda De Vecchis and Rowan Schratzberger, dedicated to the non-verbal languages of bodies and animals
• Saturday 20, 3.00 pm: Inside the Vitæ exhibition. The feeling of Nature… with those who engrave it. Workshop with the Federica Galli Foundation: a workshop on graphic art as a tool for scientific communication, from Jessica Carroll to the tradition of engraving. With Beatrice Gardella and Giorgia Oldano, participants will experience the stages of intaglio printing
• Saturday 27, 5.30–10.30 pm: Cinema and nature. The feeling of Nature… with those who film it. In collaboration with CinemAmbiente, a guided tour and open-air screening of the documentary The Oak and Its Inhabitants by Laurent Charbonnier and Michel Seydoux, presented by Jessica Carroll, Tiziano Fratus and Lia Furxhi
