The Sacra di San Michele becomes the setting for a unique performance.
On the ancient stones of the abbey, the artistic collective Evoluzionaria presents an acrobatic dance performance that defies gravity and reimagines the space: the dancers move vertically, suspend themselves in mid-air and intertwine with the architecture of the Sacra, revealing new perspectives.
The monastery’s shapes and structure become paths, handholds, and voids to traverse. The dance climbs, falls, and climbs again. And whilst the eye tries to follow every movement, the music accompanies and amplifies every gesture, setting the emotional tone of the evening.
To make it all even more intense, there is a live voice: a singer who does not merely provide background vocals but becomes part of the performance, interacting with the dancers and enveloping the space and the audience in an atmosphere that hovers between the sacred and the contemporary.
The evening also includes an evocative guided night tour, offering a chance to discover the Sacra from an unusual perspective and be guided through its walls.
