As part of Caleidoscopio, the season of performances and events by FLIC Scuola di Circo, the second edition of Crossover: circus as a plural artistic expression is scheduled, with this year's subtitle #externalviews.
The conference invites reflection on how contemporary circus is perceived and interpreted from external perspectives, featuring contributions from experts and artists in theatre, dance, academia, commedia dell’arte, cinema, research, and literature.
The Italian translation of Open Letters to the Circus will be presented in an open conversation among the author Bauke Lievens, translators Teresa Noronha Feio, Gaia Vimercati, and Maristella Tesio, editorial curator Prof. Silvia Mei, and artist Elena Zanzu.
Additionally, two preview excerpts of the documentary Sospesi by Francesco Sgrò and Luca Quaia will be presented, a visionary journey into the heart of the nouvelle vague of contemporary Italian circus followed by a discussion with the authors.
