A day dedicated to the history, flavours and beauty of Arignano, promoting the local apple variety, Pom d'Argnan, once widespread and used in the local apple pie.
The event takes place in the historic centre and includes several morning activities:
• a cycling tour to admire the landscapes, the lake and the historical and architectural heritage of the area
• a walk to the lake with a guided tour of the renaturalisation work carried out as part of the Isola Project, organised by Città Metropolitana
• a workshop for children
From 12.30 pm, the food stands will open and there will be an itinerant lunch in the courtyards, with four gastronomic stops inspired by apples.
In the afternoon, Tales of Pom d'Argnan: on stage, testimonies and memories of the people of Arignano and the preparation of the Turta; followed by a concert by the band La Notte dei Cantautori. There will also be a treasure hunt for young and old alike.
Throughout the day: market with local products and fine crafts, music, travelling games room and the famous apple fritters!
