Two men in a dilapidated basement. Each passes the time as best he can while waiting for something. Or someone.

The waiting never seems to end until providential objects are delivered from the outside: a box of matches, for example, to make tea. But from whom? Is the place really as abandoned as it seems? Why does the lunchbox suddenly start up, bringing orders for increasingly elaborate dishes? And who will be the mysterious guest that an equally mysterious voice announces to one of them?
