Every year on 31 October, numerous Italian cities and towns play host to National Urban Trekking Day, an initiative that has been running for some time. The event's origins lie in Siena, the project's lead city, and its purpose is to promote urban trekking. This is a way of visiting cities that combines physical activity (a "slow" walk) with the discovery of the artistic, cultural and historical heritage of the area. Often, it focuses on lesser-known corners far from traditional tourist circuits.
On this occasion, you will have the opportunity to discover the historic centre of Ivrea with a route dedicated to those who want to experience the city at a leisurely pace, savouring it. Strolling through the alleys and squares of the city, you can immerse yourself in its history, admire its centuries-old monuments and be surprised by the curiosities that make it unique.
