Oltre le apparenze. I grandi misteri della materia oscura e dell'energia oscura

Despite the giant strides made in cosmology over the last century, our understanding of the cosmos is still limited. In fact, going beyond the appearances of what we can study directly with telescopes, we now know that 95% of the universe is composed of dark matter and dark energy, whose presence we deduce indirectly but without knowing their nature. To unravel these profound mysteries, the ESA Euclid space mission will play a key role in the coming years.

During the conference, the audience will be guided on a journey that will open their eyes and make them realise that behind the sparkling appearance of stars and galaxies lies an almost completely unknown universe: guest speaker Andrea Cimatti, full professor at the University of Bologna.

Participants will also be able to attend a planetarium show and enjoy a free visit to the interactive museum with an audio guide available on their smartphones.
