Pietro Meletti's solo exhibition transforms the CSA Farm Gallery into a large sticker album, celebrating the childlike pleasure of collecting.
The exhibition evokes an album waiting to be completed (72 works, 31 x 27.5 cm, 2003-2005): the catalog is a true sticker album that, once ordered, provides the works in a small bag, inviting the visitor to participate in a game that extends the exhibition experience.
The images come from La Storia, Meletti's vast digital archive of stolen, low-resolution photographs, often from adult films and the internet.
The artist uses an "analog" approach with obsolete digital tools to explore the poetics of voyeurism. Each work is considered a "multiple" (maximum nine copies), challenging the uniqueness of the artwork and opposing the "digital metamarket."
The exhibition invites reflection on the contrast between lost innocence and the instinct of possession, posing a provocative question: what is the intrinsic value of art compared to its role as a mere object to be possessed?
