The Felice Casorati Designer exhibition is set to reopen to the public enhanced with a new dialogue between past and present, thanks to the contributions of Torino-based artist and designer Piergiorgio Robino. The collaboration creates a unique conversation between two key figures in Italian applied arts.
The new exhibition is displayed across three locations: the Studio Museo Felice Casorati, the Veranda of Casa Casorati, and the Bell Tower of Pavarolo. The show places Casorati's 20th-century furniture and prototypes - from the Casorati Archive and private collections - in dialogue with a selection of unique works and editions by Studio Nucleo, which explores the boundaries between art and function.
On the opening day, Sunday 28, the event will also present Pavarolo Borgo Felice. Sustainable Tourism Between Art and Landscape, a project that includes a series of collateral events designed to enrich the local cultural scene.
At 5pm, there will be a site-specific, multidisciplinary performance called Fiori Assenti. This event, by the YoY Performing Art company, will feature dance, music, and visual art with performers Emma Zani and Roberto Doveri and original music by Timoteo Carbone.
The inauguration will also introduce the new Design Residency, curated by Francesca Solero. During this residency, young designer Marco Matteraglia will develop a social design practice in Pavarolo by interacting directly with the local community.
