For Valentine's Day, the "Due cuori e un campanile" (Two hearts and one bell tower) initiative returns, transforming Giaveno into the city of hearts and love.
Themed light projections on the Clock Tower and Piazza San Lorenzo, love market (Sunday 8th), photo spot to immortalise yourself inside a large red heart.
Also returning is Giaveno in L♥ve, a large-scale project that transforms the streets of the city into a journey of reflection, emotion and active participation. The initiative consists of 26 hearts with keywords dedicated to the different nuances of love, not only romantic love, but also love for oneself, for others, for everyday relationships and for the community: simple, essential words that speak to everyone and leave room for personal interpretation. The trail also includes 10 interactive hearts that invite citizens to take action: read an open sentence, complete it (on their screen, after photographing it) with their own thoughts and, if they wish, share it with someone dear to them. A simple gesture that transforms the observer into a protagonist.
To complete the installation, a freestanding panel invites visitors to participate by writing down their answers to a central question: "What does love mean to you?" All around, empty hearts welcome the words, phrases, thoughts and dedications left by citizens. The panel is designed as an open, inclusive and collective space where everyone can leave something of themselves.
