Cantina Figliej invites you to an afternoon rich in experiences and art: a walk to discover the ‘heroic’ vineyards and the winery’s production philosophy, followed by a discussion and readings with Tiziano Gaia, author of *Stappato. Un astemio alla corte di Re Carlo* (A teetotaller at King Charles’s court), an irreverent ‘behind-the-scenes’ look at wine criticism (the book draws inspiration from the author’s pioneering experience in creating the first Slow Food wine guides) and a history of wine told in an original and witty way, centred on its transformation into a luxury good, stripped of its function as a staple and therefore potentially useless, yet one to which the author acknowledges the ability to ride or even anticipate the socio-cultural changes of our time.
