24ª Sagra della Pesca Ripiena di Vauda di Rocca Canavese

The Sagra della Pesca Ripiena (Feast of the Stuffed Peach) of Vauda di Rocca Canavese is back, a festival organised by the ’La Baraca’ association that attracts many visitors every year, offering a week dedicated to leisure and entertainment with a rich programme of events, tastings, concerts, dancing, live music and cabaret shows.

Vauda di Rocca Canavese is located in the centre of the Vaude plateau, on the border between theValli di Lanzo and Canavese valleys and halfway between Rocca Canavese and Ciriè. Immersed in the quiet countryside surrounded by forests and strawberry grape vines, thanks to the enterprising organisation of its 80 inhabitants,

Vauda attracts thousands of supporters every year during the first week of August for its patronal festival. The main protagonist of the festival will be the queen of delicacies, the stuffed peach, reproposed as tradition teaches, prepared according to grandma’s old recipe and cooked in a wood-burning oven. In addition, the food stand will serve exclusively Piedmontese specialities, the result of a study of traditional Canavese recipes, because one of the aims of the Festival is to rediscover the ancient flavours of agriculture, animal husbandry and local cuisine.
