Chocolate's history, legends and anecdotes. The arrival of cocoa in Piedmont, brought by Emanuele Filiberto, General of the Spanish armies and also linked to the events of the Castle of Rivoli, marks the start of a journey that continues to the present day. Contemporary artists have used chocolate as a creative material, taking this journey further.
By booking at least two days in advance, you can enjoy the Merenda Reale, a sweet break in the magnificent setting of the Castle of Rivoli. An afternoon in an atmosphere of times gone by, in front of a steaming cup of hot chocolate prepared as in the 18th century and accompanied by bagnati, the fragrant biscuits of the Piedmontese tradition.
Curated by Alessia Giorda, an art historian.
With your ticket, you can also visit the castle and see the exhibitions.
