Cioccolatò Torino, the chocolate festival

Cioccolatò Coversito

The festival of chocolate in Torino returns from Thursday 27 February to Sunday 2 March in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, right where the first edition took place more than twenty years ago, changing its clothes and giving life to what can be considered a true "zero edition". It does so under a premise that is as simple as it is ambitious, conceptualised in the payoff ‘Sua Eccellenza è il Cioccolato’: to restore the centrality, chocolate and its producers become the absolute protagonists of the main themed city event.

THE HOUSE OF CHOCOLATE

There will be about 50 chocolate producers, including both famous names and niche companies, who will take their place in the semi-circle of Piazza Vittorio Veneto, one of the city's most loved and iconic squares, to let enthusiasts, tourists and customers of all ages enter their world. Among the exhibitors, 13 Maestri del Gusto from Torino and its province. The over 70 stands, with a completely new design, will be spread out on both sides of the square and will culminate in a space called "CASA DEL CIOCCOLATO" , a stage for talks, tastings and presentations.

Torino and Chocolate: a story of passion and innovation

The link between Torino and chocolate is unbreakable: a story of excellence, creativity and passion that continues to delight generations of enthusiasts. To visit Turin is to immerse yourself in a world of sweetness and discover a unique heritage that has made the city a true capital of chocolate.

Torino and chocolate have a deep and age-old bond, a history made of tradition, innovation and passion. The capital of Piedmont is not only one of the most elegant cities in Italy, but also home to some of the finest cocoa-based confectionery creations. First introduced at court in the 17th century, it became a truly iconic product when, in the 19th century, the skilful combination of cocoa and hazelnuts gave rise to giandujotto, now one of the city's icons.

Today, Torino boasts numerous historic pastry shops and artisan chocolate makers that continue to produce high-quality specialities, taking chocolate all over the world. Events such as ‘Cioccolatò’, the annual festival dedicated to chocolate, celebrate this tradition, attracting visitors from all over the world.
