Banksy. Street is the Museum

From 22/10/2026 to 31/01/2027
Torino
Culture & Tradition

The exhibition takes the public on a journey into Banksy’s world through graffiti, photographs, video installations and meticulous reconstructions of his works on canvas, fabric, aluminium, Forex and Plexiglas: a journey that offers a closer look at some of the British artist’s most famous images, many of which can no longer be seen in the places where they were originally created.

From *Flower Thrower* to *Girl with Balloon*, from *Napoleon* to *Steve Jobs* and other works that have entered the collective imagination, the exhibition highlights Banksy’s extraordinary ability to transform street art into a tool for reflection on the major issues of our time: war, peace, consumerism, migration, inequality, the environment and civil rights thus become the central theme of a narrative that weaves together visual impact and social critique, bringing home the full relevance of his artistic language.

‘Banksy. Street is the Museum’ is a reflection on the very nature of street art. Banksy’s works are created to exist in public spaces, engaging with the city and those who pass through it, but for this very reason they are often destined to disappear

The exhibition’s title encapsulates this very vision: the street is Banksy’s museum, the place where his works take shape and engage with society, transforming walls, buildings and urban spaces into vehicles for artistic and civic expression.
