From 24 to 27 September 2026, Torino will once again become the world capital of sustainable food and wine as it hosts the 16th edition of Terra Madre Salone del Gusto.
This unmissable event takes on even greater significance this year as it coincides with Slow Food's 40th anniversary celebrations, marking four decades of global commitment to promoting good, clean and fair food for all.
The event is spread across the heart of the city
The squares and streets of Torino’s historic centre will be transformed into lively open-air gathering places, welcoming delegates, producers, and visitors from every corner of the globe. This widespread format aims to integrate the event into the urban fabric, offering an immersive experience featuring:
- The Grand Market: Hundreds of Italian and international producers showcasing the excellence of sustainable supply chains, biodiversity protection and high-quality artisan food production.
- Discussion forums and conferences: High-profile meetings with activists, economists, thinkers and internationally renowned chefs to discuss ecological transition, fair food systems and a culture of peace.
- Exhibition and educational areas: Spaces dedicated to wine and coffee, pollinator protection (such as bees), and educational activities for adults, children, and schools.
Biodiversity as a Source of Wealth and a Culture of Peace
At the heart of the debate and tasting sessions is the important topic of biodiversity in food, knowledge, and cultures. Once again, food becomes a universal language, capable of transcending borders and uniting people through a shared commitment to caring for the planet and showing mutual respect.
