Le avventure di Pinocchio

The new show by the Compagnia Marionette Grilli takes its title from Collodi’s original story, remaining faithful to the original narrative.

We drew inspiration from an old recording from the 1950s, found in our archives, which piqued our curiosity and which we decided to use as a soundtrack against which the marionettes move and re-enact the most famous moments that the renowned ‘Burattino’ relives on stage, surrounded by the well-known characters who accompany him on his journey of growth.

The marionettes, crafted in our workshop, also incorporate pieces made from Gambarutti materials, adapted and modified to suit the characters they are to portray; all the props and backdrops, like the marionettes themselves, were designed and created by Augusto Grilli and Mariarosa Scalero.
