The exhibition, conceived specifically for the spaces of the Gallerie d'Italia - Turin, offers for the first time, with many previously unpublished photographs, an organic synthesis of the research that Olivo Barbieri has dedicated to China, over a period of more than thirty years.
The exhibition pays homage to his shots that have always been poised between the real and the representation of the real, between the imagined world and the reproduced world, as a tool for questioning the very act of seeing.
Divided into three sections, the exhibition curated by Corrado Benigni presents more than 150 works, including large triptychs, polyptychs and two large paintings.
