“An (im)possible journey to Neverland: duels, laughter, fantasy, and – for the first time – a Peter Pan who really does fly, with acrobatics and parkour”.
A show for children, teenagers and adults who have forgotten how to fly. Inspired by J.M. Barrie’s classic, the DDT production brings to the stage an open window, a mischievous shadow, a jealous Tinker Bell, the utterly chaotic Lost Boys and a frighteningly comical Captain Hook – all enveloped in a unique physical energy capable of captivating audiences of all ages.
The feature that sets this Peter Pan apart from every other production is its extreme physicality. Peter Pan does not ‘pretend’ to fly: he actually does. Through a physical language of acrobatics, jumps, somersaults and parkour movements, the lead actor transforms the stage into a real-life adventure playground. The audience sees the flight with their own eyes, without special effects, driven solely by the power of the body in motion.
An element of great visual impact and absolute rarity in theatre for the younger generation.
