One and a Half Degrees
Climate and Environment Festival
Photographic exhibition by Jacopo Pasotti, communicateur scientifique, journaliste spécialisé dans l'environnement et photographe.
Based on a project by Donato Giovannelli
Pasotti’s exhibition takes visitors on a journey through some of the planet’s most extreme environments, from the peaks of the Andes to the remote islands of Svalbard. The images stem from the European EU ERC CoEvolve project and document the fieldwork of scientists studying the microorganisms and life forms that inhabit these ecosystems, revealing the profound interplay between biology, the environment and environmental change.
The exhibition marks the start of Bardonecchia’s ‘Un grado e mezzo’ programme, which over the coming weeks will feature talks, workshops and meetings with leading figures from the worlds of science and science communication, such as Elisa Palazzi, Luca Mercalli and Marco Paolini.
