“Viva (il) Verdi”, the project conceived to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the founding of the “Giuseppe Verdi” State Conservatoire of Music in Turin.
Spanning a period of six months from 22 October 2026, “Viva (il) Verdi’ is structured around a threefold theme – Verdi yesterday, today and tomorrow – which brings together historical memory and a vision of the future in a wide-ranging and diverse programme: exhibitions, concerts and research initiatives organised in collaboration with the Royal Residences of the House of Savoy, the Ricordi Historical Archive, the National Museum of the Italian Risorgimento and the Teatro Regio in Turin.
Among the initiatives on the programme:
• a series of exhibitions spread across three venues – the Conservatoire, Palazzo Carignano and the Teatro Regio – which intertwines the figure of Verdi with the history and heritage of the institution.
• a programme of eight concerts in the concert hall in Piazza Bodoni, as well as at the Polo del ‘900, the Church of the Consolata and the National Museum of the Italian Risorgimento;
• a series of five talks in the Conservatoire’s library;
• *La Traviata* at the Teatro Regio, from 27 February to 10 March 2027.
