Nestled in the Upper Susa Valley between the towns of Cesana Torinese and Sestriere, Sauze di Cesana is a small town and a real gem. It is situated along the course of the Ripa stream. Nature lovers and those who enjoy summer camping make this town a favourite destination, thanks to its strategic location at the entrance to the splendid and renowned Argentera Valley. Boasting panoramic views of Mount Cima Bosco and well-preserved Alpine architecture, the area is defined by its rich natural and historical heritage. All year round, the Vialattea ski area includes the town of Sauze di Cesana, where visitors can enjoy activities such as snowshoeing in winter and hiking, mountain biking and horse riding in summer.

Discover some of the hamlets:

  • Bessène Haut (1,486 m): a charming, picturesque cluster of traditional stone and timber houses situated in a sunny spot just a few kilometres from Sestriere's centre.
  • Bessène Bas is a small rural hamlet located directly below Bessène Haut, nestled amongst alpine meadows and exuding a bygone atmosphere.

  • Grangesises is a completely pedestrianised village situated at an altitude of 1,840 metres on the slopes of Mount Sises. The restored village centre consists of ancient 18^(th)-century Occitan barns arranged around a small square containing a stone fountain and an alpine chapel.

  • Rollandieres (1,480 metres): a picturesque hamlet nestled alongside the Ripa stream between Bousson and Sauze di Cesana. It is the starting point for various summer hikes.
