An exclusive location in a strategic position, Cesana Torinese is one of the access points to the Vialattea, a famous ski area that boasts 400 kilometres of tracks. The hamlets of San Sicario Borgo and Champlas Seguin are typical alpine villages amidst woods and majestic peaks. San Sicario Alto, located on the edge of the ski slopes, is a convenient location for those who want to practice alpine skiing and return to the hotel with skis on their feet.
From Cesana Torinese it is easy to reach valleys that are still uncontaminated, where it is possible to hike among woods and peaks with snowshoes or alpine skis. There are endless possibilities for excursions on foot, by bike and on horseback even in summer, from the ascent of Mount Chaberton to hikes on the Monti della Luna and in Val Thuras.
Cesana Torinese is also located on the historical route of the Via Francigena. Famous are the two roads that connect it to the Colle del Sestriere, which have been the scene of great cycling feats during the passage of the Giro d'Italia and which every year host the 'Cesana-Sestriere', a competition valid for the European Historic Car Championship.
