Set up in 2005, the Foundation hosts exhibitions, events, educational activities and pursues research and in-depth analysis in the field of arts.
It is located in the former power station of the Officine Lancia – a rationalist style industrial structure built during the Thirties in Borgo San Paolo, once a working-class neighbourhood which has now become a residential area – and alternates exhibitions dedicated to Mario and Marisa Merz with great projects of national and international artists, invited to meet the challenge of the Foundation’s spaces and contents, without forgetting research on new generations.
It also organises events which include the visual arts review, contemporary music and the Meteorite in Giardino (Meteorite in the Garden) performance, which represents an occasion for a dialogue between different disciplines linked to contemporary culture.
