A day dedicated to the ancient wisdom of recognizing and gathering wild edible herbs. This knowledge was vital to our ancestors, but has been rediscovered in times when it's necessary not only to vary our diet but also to draw on herbs and plants with low levels of pollution and rich nutritional properties. Not to mention unusual, unconventional flavors. The activity is suitable for everyone and will take place between Castellamonte and the slopes of the Valle Sacra (Turin), areas renowned for this folk culture and where the custom of gathering and using wild herbs in cooking is still practiced. The hike will range from 300 to 600 meters above sea level and will alternate lessons on recognition and proper harvesting with actual foraging of the most usable herbs. Cost: €30 per person.
