One of the most fascinating royal residences, located in the municipality of Garessio (CN), in Val Casotto at an altitude of 1,090 metres, is once again welcoming visitors. The castle, which stands on the remains of an ancient Carthusian monastery, was acquired by the Savoy family and transformed into a hunting lodge by Charles Albert. Immersed and hidden in centuries-old woods, in a place originally chosen for prayer and meditation, the Casotto Castle surprises and conquers. After a long period of closure, during which major restoration work was carried out, it will once again be possible to discover its vicissitudes and curiosities through a guided tour that will allow visitors to explore the exterior, the flats complete with furnishings, the royal chapel and to climb the bell tower.
