Thanks to the funding from the Ministry of Tourism for the project 'Torino.Dire Fare Vedere Design. A UNESCO Creative City', the City of Torino, in collaboration with Urban Lab and Turismo Torino e Provincia, has launched a series of actions aimed at promoting the design sector also on a touristic level. Among these actions, one of the most fascinating is the creation of a bilingual map, in Italian and English, that will guide visitors to discover the iconic design locations in Torino.
The map highlights the transformative role of design in Turin, inviting visitors to explore a city in constant change, where the industrial past coexists with an innovative and creative present. It is a journey between the historical roots and new perspectives of a city that has made design its engine of cultural and touristic rebirth.
This map not only proposes a list of places and events in the city related to design, but also offers an interpretation of the city's transformation through design, an extraordinary engine of cultural innovation and transformation. From ateliers to corporate museums, from cultural production centers to galleries, from public spaces to social innovation laboratories, the map suggests places, events, and different routes to discover Turin's design, between memory and future.
