Turin has been chosen as the host city of EuroPride 2027, the main European event dedicated to LGBTQIA+ visibility and rights. The decision was made official on 2 November 2024 during the general assembly of the European Pride Organisers Association (EPOA) in Porto, Portugal.
The Turin bid prevailed over those of Vilnius (Lithuania), Torremolinos (Spain) and Gloucestershire (United Kingdom), obtaining the majority of votes in the first round.
The event will take place from 18 to 26 June 2027 and will include a week of meetings, cultural events, conferences, performances and civil rights activities. The central moment will be the traditional pride parade, which will go through the centre of Turin.
The project was promoted by the Turin Pride Coordination Board, with the support of the municipality and numerous associations. The candidacy dossier highlighted the city's commitment to promoting inclusion and equal rights.
This will be the third time that Italy hosts EuroPride, after the Rome editions in 2000 and 2011.
