Great music takes centre stage once again in the heart of the Alps, in Bardonecchia, with Musica d’Estate. International Summer Music Festival: 15 days of eagerly awaited concerts, talks and advanced training courses, bringing together young talents and leading performers from the international scene at an altitude of 1,300 metres, where even the mountains put on a spectacular show.
Organised by the Pinerolo Music Academy Foundation, this year’s festival features 29 concerts and 4 talks, alongside 16 advanced masterclasses led by internationally renowned musicians and workshops run by the CAdMO-Digi Orchestra.
A major new feature is the three ‘Summer Evenings’ concerts at the Palazzo delle Feste, featuring students performing alongside their teachers – internationally renowned musicians such as Pietro De Maria, Sonig Tchakerian and Gabriele Carcano.
Young performers, already well on their way to concert careers and winners of major national and international competitions, take centre stage in 15 concerts, with programmes ranging from chamber music to piano and opera recitals. The programme is rounded off by 11 concerts featuring young musicians selected from among the 127 students enrolled in the Musica d’Estate advanced masterclasses, hailing from all over the world.
Another major new feature is the four in-depth talks as part of MDE OFF – interviews open to the public and moderated by Gianmarco Moneti – featuring four great musicians: Roberto Plano (17 July), Enrico Bronzi (20 July), Ivan Rabaglia (23 July) and Benedetto Lupo (28 July).
