Una Mole di Panettoni returns to celebrate local artisan excellence in the art of baking.
The historic national food and wine competition, which reflects the traditional Christmas cake trends from the north to the south of the peninsula, is establishing a new trend this year by adding Chocolate Panettone as a new category in the competition, alongside the traditional categories of Piedmontese School Panettone (low with icing), Milanese School Panettone (tall without icing) and Creative Panettone.
From Campania to Piedmont, from Tuscany to Sicily, from Liguria to the Marche, 30 master bakers will be selected to compete in one of Italy's most important events dedicated to the iconic Christmas dessert.
