Three days dedicated to the art of leavening, pastry-making and local specialities: ‘Una Mole di Panettoni’, the festival dedicated to the world of panettone, returns to the Hotel Principi di Piemonte in Turin, featuring a packed programme of events, masterclasses, cooking shows and the official awards ceremony for Italy’s finest bakers.
The Sala Palazzo Madama will be the hub of the events open to the public, with a programme of masterclasses on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There will also be cooking shows, all starting at 6.00 pm:
• Friday – Bananna Kitchen with Anna Fantini: Gourmet panettone
• Saturday – Cookin’ Factory with Claudia Frascini: Panettone sandwiches
• Sunday – Evi Polliotto leading Gerla’s team of pastry chefs: Decorated panettone
The competition will take place on Monday 23rd: the jury, chaired by Mauro Morandin, will award the panettone – which will be anonymised for tasting – a score from 1 to 10 based on various criteria.
