1. How does the Royal Pass work?
The QR code must be shown either on the physical card or digital (on the receipt or on the smartphone display):
At the ticket office of the museums where the free entrance is offered. The child under 12 accompanying the Card owner enters for free.
At the ticket office of the museums where the reduced ticket is offered. Also the child under 12 accompanying the Card owner gets the same benefit.
At the tourist services of Turin run by GTT company (Gruppo Torinese Trasporti). The Tourist Services are free for children under 6, while for those aged 6-12 -accompanied by a Card owner- a second reduced ticket can be purchased.
At the desk of the other participating attractions in the whole region. It is valid also for one child under 12 accompanying the Card owner.
It is necessary to go to the ticket office to collect the free admittance ticket.
2. How is the Royal Pass activated?
The Pass is activated at the first use of QR code and its validity starts then, for the following 96 consecutive hours.
3. Which museums are included?
The Royal Pass offers free admission to exhibitions, monuments, castles, fortresses and Royal Residences in Torino and Piedmont. The pass allows free access in the order preferred by the purchaser during the period of validity. The Residences are generally closed on Mondays.
The Royal Pass is also valid for access at a reduced fare at the Egyptian Museum and the National Cinema Museum in Torino.
Tickets booked online with the Royal Pass are subject to availability.
All the Card versions are valid also for discounted ticket in other 50 cultural sites all over Piemonte.
4. Which means of transports are included?
The Royal Pass entitles to a reduced ticket on the Tourist Services of Torino every day: panoramic lift in the Mole Antonelliana, Sassi - Superga rack tramway. The reduction can be applied every day to the Card owner and to an accompanying child aged 6-12.
On the Venaria Express shuttle bus to the Reggia di Venaria and Parco della Mandria, the Card owner can purchase on board the reduced daily ticket only on Sat., Sun. and holidays; moreover, Tuesday to Friday it is possible to travel with the multi-day or ordinary ticket usually valid on urban and suburban transport.
Children under 6 enjoy GTT tourist services for free. Service suspended on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 1st Dec. 2024 to 2nd March 2025.
NOTE: to travel on public transports of Torino (bus, trams, subway), Pass holders can purchase the multi-day ticket at reduced price only at Torino Tourist Office.
The Pass offers also reduced fare on the connection to the Airport of Torino run by Arriva and reductions on other tourist services.
5. Is it worth buying the Royal Pass?
Yes, it is! Already from the second admission you start saving! For detailed information on the tariffs of the individual facilities, see the dedicated section.
The Royal Pass offers to one child under 12 the same benefits offered to an adult holder of a Pass.
State Museums and Municipal Museums offer free admission to kids under age 18.
On the occasion of special events and individual initiatives, museums may apply discounted rates or free admission.
6. Does the Royal Pass allow to book the entrance?
By purchasing your pass on our website, you have the possibility to book - upon availability - the time slot of your access at the most visited museums, to make the best of your stay. Plan your visits in advance! Available slots sell out quickly, especially during long weekends and holidays.
It is necessary to go to the ticket office to collect the admittance ticket.
7. What are the advantages of purchasing the Royal Pass online?
Following online purchase on our website, you will receive a voucher with a digital QR code that is immediately valid for access to museums: simply show it to the ticket office staff, even directly from your smartphone, to obtain your free ticket.
For online purchases, there is no printing on plastic or paper at the Tourist Offices.
All purchases made online are valid for 12 months from the date of the receipt.
Don't worry if your online card purchase voucher is entitled to the same person, even though you have entered different names: only the identification number of the QR CODE, which is unique, is valid for museum access.
8. Are there discounts for seniors, military, students or groups?
There are no discounts for these categories. On request special rates are offered for groups, Travel Agencies and Tour Operators. Moreover, if you are planning a school trip in Piemonte, ask for reductions dedicated to students!

9. Can the Royal Pass be refunded?
For reasons not ascribable to errors or omissions on the part of Turismo Torino e Provincia, the Pass is never refundable, nor is it possible to replace a purchased card with another of a different duration and/or amount.
In addition, you are not entitled to any form of refund in the event of theft, loss or failure to take advantage of the benefits offered.
Should the participating organizations have to close for any special reasons (strikes or holidays) the validity and duration of the Pass will not be extended and it will not be reimbursed.
