Cümalè was born in Sestriere as a place of welcome, conviviality and authentic cuisine. Its name comes from the Piedmontese dialect and means “how are you?” — a simple, direct question that reflects the spirit with which we imagined this restaurant.

The cuisine at Cümalè has a clear root: Piedmont. Traditional Piedmontese dishes are the heart of the menu and define its main identity. Alongside them, we offer a selection of mountain dishes inspired by life at altitude, as well as a few carefully chosen Italian specialties. Every choice follows the same idea of cooking: honest, recognizable and well made.

The selection of ingredients and the way they are prepared reflect a simple philosophy: to enhance flavors without forcing them, letting each dish speak for itself. The wine list follows the same approach, with a strong focus on Piedmontese wines, complemented by a selection of outstanding labels from other regions of Italy, chosen for their quality and character.

The atmosphere is warm and carefully designed to offer a pleasant and relaxed experience, whether after a day on the slopes or during an evening spent at the table. Our symbol is the mouflon, an elegant and proud animal, deeply connected to the mountain and its most authentic nature.
