The Via Francigena For All route starts in the centre of Ivrea and winds its way for more than 20 km through enchanting villages, vineyards and breathtaking views.
After leaving Ivrea, you will encounter Lake San Michele and Lake Cascinette d'Ivrea, where a magnificent viewpoint over the Serra awaits you, from where you can admire the majestic mountains of the Colma di Mombarone, the Vallone di Scalaro and the Valchiusella.
The route continues on a long dirt track towards Burolo, passing through Bollengo and Palazzo Canavese. Crossing picturesque roads surrounded by meadows and vineyards, we reach the small ruined church of Gesiùn.
The route ends with a panoramic view of Lake Viverone and the Cella di San Michele.
Along the route you will find numerous multi-sensory panels with relief reproductions, designed to facilitate exploration by the visually and hearing impaired. There is an accessible rest area in Bollengo, equipped with shelter and charging points for e-bikes, handbikes and other electronic devices useful for wheelchairs.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to visit some church properties that have been made accessible to people with sensory and cognitive disabilities through special multi-sensory panels.
In the heart of Canavese, in Piedmont, there is a special section of the Via Francigena: 20 km between Ivrea and Viverone, designed to guarantee accessibility for all. This route, part of the Regione Piemonte project known as Via Francigena For All, is designed to offer an inclusive travel experience, allowing anyone, regardless of their physical or sensory abilities, to enjoy the beauty of the area.
